The COVID-19 Data Futures Platform
The new COVID-19 Data Futures Platform pulls together data from the UN system, nonprofit partners, academia, development partners and countries around the world. Interactive tools provide unique opportunities for data analysis, insights identification, and collaboration around strategies and solutions. Analytics and data presented will dynamically evolve, responding to different questions that arise as the situation changes.
As COVID-19 has exposed the consequences of the digital divide, it has also highlighted the need for more collaboration between country offices and outside partners. To recover from the pandemic and move beyond to achieve the SDGs, we need to significantly increase the speed that digital solutions work at scale across UNDP. Digital Sprints are new tech-enabled projects and Digital Public Goods built with the support of the Chief Digital Office.
In 2019, UNDP built the world’s largest and fastest learning network on sustainable development challenges. We started with 60 Lab teams covering 78 countries and are now expanding to 90 Labs covering 114 countries.
